Daycare Providers in the City of Annapolis / child care tax credit

A child care operator opening Little One's Child Care Center at 301 Rowe Boulevard said the city's zoning and permitting process went smoothly over seven months. He asked for more support directed at operators rather than parents, noting rents, wages, and working capital are the real barriers.

The operator of Little Lines of Judah, a family daycare on Belle Drive, said she rents and the bill as written wouldn't help her. She described how hard it is for providers to find locations and pleaded for help expanding child care in the city.
